On January 10, 2019, we held the first annual Campbell PA Mock Challenge Bowl! In May of each year, Campbell PA students attend the national AAPA conference, where (among many other events) PA programs compete against each other in the Jeopardy-style Challenge Bowl. To select our three team members and prepare for the event, we held our own Jeopardy competition complete with lights, a DJ, and one of our professors playing Alex Trebek. Our team of three students is now practicing twice per week until May to prepare for the competition!
We are lucky that Campbell recognizes the importance of the AAPA conference. Not only does our program give us the week off to go to the conference, but they also pay the registration fee for any student interested in going to the conference. About half of our class will be in attendance to attend educational sessions, network with current PAs and other students, and support our challenge bowl.
